“Make a difference” challenge winners.

Share good great things

Here are the winning entries from the “Make a difference this Diwali” challenge. We congratulate all the winners.

  1. Deepa Roy from Bengaluru shared happiness with the old ladies of Sandhya Suraksha old age home this Diwali.

In her words -: “Diwali for me is all about responsible gifting and conscious giving. What I want to convey is, spending money on the right thing is something we should learn. We exchange expensive gifts/sweets with our relatives and friends who may not even need those.

The money that I need to buy gifts/chocolates/sweets for them can be utilized in a much better way. Try spending it on the stray animals, old grannies/grandpas, kids at the orphanage, kids/adults with disabilities and the list is never-ending. Hence I thought of making someone else’s Diwali brighter so I decided to go and meet grannies this year and gave them fruits, biscuits, namkeens. These institutions, charitable trusts, NGOs are already doing a lot for these people and we should understand that they might not have a separate budget to celebrate every festival. We all need to pitch in here and help them to make things better. ” Few pics from Deepa -:
